About Kris Crollard

Kris Crollard I graduated in 1973 from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting. Post graduation, I worked in the corporate world of telecommunications and retired in 2008. I have been gradually building my portfolio and exposure in the Florida markets. I have been accepted into numerous juried art festivals since retiring in 2008, joined the local Art League, was published (2010) in the Florida Humanities magazine, and presently exhibit my work at several venues and retail establishments (city hall, wineries/vineyards, restaurants, artisan shops). I have also donated several pieces of work to local fundraisers for charities. My medium is acrylic paint on water color paper. I am drawn to painting the human figure in landscape settings mostly viewed from behind. This allows the viewer to pull from their own personal experiences of people, places, and life events and incorporate it into their own world.
